Joseph Singzon is a Bay Area dancer with five years of experience at Sonoma State University, where he trained and performed through campus dance clubs, the Theatre Arts & Dance program, and stage productions. His experience spans hip-hop and contemporary/modern dance, with an ongoing interest in developing his movement practice and deepening his understanding of Hip-hop and Street Dance history, culture, and technique
Aaliyah Hudson, was born in Natchez, MS, and raised in the small, closely-knit community of Fayette, MS. During my early teen years, Hip Hop, Cheerleading, and Drum Majoring were my only dance background. I desired to increase my dance agility in other areas. Therefore, I began training in ballet, modern, improvisation, and choreography in my eleventh and twelfth-grade year at the Mississippi School of the Arts. After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Belhaven University, I am prepared to contribute my artistry and discipline to a professional dance company.
Ona, after moving to Colorado, Ona discovered a love for House and Hip-Hop at the Mi Chantli dance studio. She remains deeply drawn to footwork, rhythm, and the intricate connections between different movement traditions across the world. Her artistic perspective is also significantly shaped by disability justice and the work of Leroy F. Moore Jr., Keith Jones, and the Krip-Hop Nation. She completed the Embodied Herstories Reproductive Justice program, exploring how race, gender, class, and reproductive history intersect in the United States. Ona has also attended the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and has been deeply involved in the movement for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women.
In 2026, Ona performed with author Toni Oswald, exploring the relationship between women’s history, storytelling, and lived experience. Each of these milestones has profoundly influenced her artistic practice as she continues to develop her creative voice while honoring vital community histories.
